Hello,

I hope everyone is doing well!

Below is the entry for today.

05/13/2022 - Diary entry #510:

In the last few days a new Malware-as-a-Service operation named "Eternity Project" was disclosed. Through its TOR website, Eternity Project lists a variety of malware as a service for sale and even provides a Telegram channel to share information about the malware's operations and updates. A Telegram Bot is also available to generate the malicious payloads depending on the modules purchased.

Each module is sold individually as an annual or lifetime subscription from prices starting at $90. The malware modules include a Credential Stealer, a Clipper (that monitors the victim's clipboard to replace cryptocurrency wallets addresses), a Virus (that spreads through USB drives, network shares, cloud drivers, and others.), a CryptoMiner, a Ransomware, and a DDoS Bot which is still under development. The most expensive malware listed above is the Eternity Ransomware, costing around $500.

Eternity Project poses a threat to end-users and as a malware-as-a-service especially considering how cheap it is to other threat actors. These types of threats are usually delivered via SPAM or phishing and the victims must be lured into executing them via social engineering. Therefore, to protect against these threats, the users should not download and execute files from unknown sources and keep their data safe by following standard security recommendations.

Kind Regards,
