[Dailydave] Reversals

There's a new article out full of random flotsam and jetsam here:
http://www.businessweek.com/news/2012-10-10/spyware-leaves-trail-to-beaten-activist-through-microsoft-flaw#p3

Basically, it is a weak attempt to defame Vupen, based on the fact that
they wrote an exploit for a public vulnerability, and at some point,
someone got hacked by the same vulnerability. (Note: Not the same
exploit. It's apparently too hard for a reporter or the "expert" Chris
Soghoian to understand the difference between an exploit and a
vulnerability!).

The article led to this on the Twitterz:

Although I cannot grasp any worldview where Microsoft would bother listening to Mr. Soghian's views, it's intersting to see how unlikely it is that they would reverse all of their efforts for the past decade to begin suing people in the security community.

But it's of course the darkest irony that someone who wears the banner of the ACLU is going to be "pressuring" big companies to sue people in this community.
